The side effects from the strong doses of chemotherapy the week of Christmas are getting more and more intense and uncomfortable for Martin. He has terrible head aches and sores in his nose, mouth and on his lips which make eating and drinking (and laughing!) painful.

Vedlejší účinky velmi silné chemoterapie z minulého týdne Vánoc jsou stále více intenzívní a pro Martina velmi nepříjemné. Má ukrutné bolesti hlavy a boláky v nose, puse a na rtech. Je obtížné jíst, pít i smát se.

I was hoping to write saying that these side effects are getting better, but instead I need to ask you to pray specifically for these. Especially for the head aches.

Doufala jsem, že budu moct napsat, že vedlejší účinky se zlepšují, ale místo toho bych vás potřebovala poprosit, abyste se přímo za tyto věci modlili. A to hlavně za bolesti hlavy.

Earlier in the week, he had a few fevers which were carefully watched and soon broke. His eyes also burned for a few days when a medicine/gel had to be applied. I am happy to share that those two  things seem to be better.

Na začátku týdne jsme měli několik horeček, které byly pečlivě sledovány a následně brzy přešly. Jeho oči pálily po několik dní, kdy byla aplikovaná léčba/gel. Jsem ráda, že mohu říct, že tyto věci se zdají lepší.
